Mojo Monday #391 Penguin Birthday

Happy Easter Weekend Everyone!
I saw this Mojo Monday sketch and I had to use it for Emily's birthday card.
I got this free Penguin from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs
I added a few layers to the flower and added Stickles.
The little heart stamp is a Stamp Up stamp.

I tweaked the Mojo Monday sketch slightly making it 6 1/4  x 6 1/4
The penguin is pretty big so I wanted a bigger card..
The happy birthday is a die cut.

I did enter this in the Mojo Monday challenge

Have a wonderful day.

12 Months of Christmas Colour Challenge April 1st

Rich reds, glorious golds and lush greens.
These are just a few of the colours generally associated with Christmas.
However, you can also find, shades of pink, beautiful blues and royal purples
during the holidays as well.
This month's challenge is all about colour.
However, instead of the typical colours one might see around the holidays,
we want to see cards using non-traditional colours.

Don't you just love this digital paper from  Décosse's Dynamite Doodles
It's called Bauble Bonanza

And this adorable Holly Owl from Sammy Stamps!

In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month
make sure that your card showcases at least THREE of the colours from the palette below.
If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards
and earn a free paper each month, and have your name thrown into the year end draw
 for some extra digital goodies.
You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $12.00 gift card from Sami Stamps.

Additional Sponsor: Décosse's Dynamite Doodles
Prize being offered: One free digital paper to everyone who links up a
minimum of two cards to the challenge.

TR Mechanical Error - Altered Notebook

Happy March 31st!
March came in like a lion so its mostly going out like a lamb..
THIS IS AN EARLY MORNING UPDATE.....
it has snowed again.. about 2 inches..
it is quite warm out but pretty flakes of snow...
Wednesday will be warmer.. and Thursday and Friday are good...
We are supposed to have double digits on Thursday so it will be warm.
I have my fingers crossed it will also be sunny..

Here is my Altered Journal made with Mechanical Error digital paper.
I honestly thought I would have trouble as I am not into steampunk.
But this journal has it all.. Combining beautiful roses with steampunk designs..
I love the sayings and the colours are fantastic.
I have a few more projects in mind now that I have actually used this paper.
I think with Tsunami Rose Digital Papers all ideas are stepped up a notch to make them more interesting.
I wanted to showcase four different papers so I quartered my front page.
I also used two sayings and the beautiful stop watch... (Don't you just love the colours!)

Come and check out Mechanical Error...
and all the other wonderful digital papers at Tsunami Rose Designs..
(If you get there quick there is some gorgeous but cute Easter paper!!!!)

Wedding Card with a Sketch

Today I made a wedding card.
I wanted it to be simple but beautiful.
I used a sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Sketch Challenge #97

I actually used this sketch very loosely.
I wanted to make a wedding card, simple but beautiful.
I saw the sentiment that I used on the card.. and thought
I am going to use some of Daisy's digital paper...
I found this beautiful page of the Polished Lack Luster journal.

I added some tiny black pearls along the sides of the circle.
I added some small yellow and orange pearls on the flowers.
I added some black Stickles along the flourishes around the circle.
I did add the bride and groom's names on the black strip at the bottom
in white gel pen. The sentiment is also from Tsunami Rose Designs
I made this card in less than half an hour. The sketch and the
digital paper helped me so much.. The card almost made itself.

Check out Tsunami Rose Designs...
and I challenge you to use this sketch for a
challenge card and find the
linky here...

Tsunami Rose Altered Notebook

Happy Wednesday!
Today I made an Altered Notebook.
I was going to make a mini album because I love all
the papers from this journal but I was having trouble
getting the album to go together right.
I love these papers so much I decided to do something
that came to me when I was in the Dollar Tree the other day
and saw this notebook... It was like a light came on...
I used digital papers from Tsunami Rose Designs.
I used the Polished Lackluster journal.
The pocket is from the same journal.
The sentiment is from the Digital Sentimental Collection #1

This altered book just came together with all
the gorgeous papers from Daisy's store.
I added lace and pearls and some flowers I had
in my stash. I also had the black butterfly ribbon in my stash.
The blue paper is a die cut that a friend lent me..
I love it...

I think the best thing about this paper is it can be used
in so many ways...
I went vintage with the lace and pearls and lacy flowers..
but....
I could have went modern and chic with gems and sparkles
and less distressing.
Either way it looks amazing....
So come and check out the store...

Tsunami Rose Designs- Tussy Mussy

I have to tell you when I saw this I had no idea what it meant.
Tussy Mussy....
I was very interested in all the pictures on pinterest...
So here is my Tussy Mussy with flowers...
The Tussy Mussy itself is made with kraft paper.
I printed off one of journal pages from Life Abloom on vellum.
I wrapped it around the cone..
I added pink pearls and two different laces.
I used the same journal paper printed on shiny paper.
I also printed three other journal pages.
I cut scalloped circles from one, and two other I used
to cut more flowers...

Flowers I cut with my cricut (AP)
then glued with a hot glue gun.

These were done with shiny paper then inked...

These flowers were also done on shiny paper
but are cut into scallops.. I fussed then up then
added a brad... they have about 8 layers.

Check out Daisy's store...
I love love love digital paper and all of her's
are gorgeous...

Atlantic Hear#89

I did change the sketch slightly as I made the main box
smaller as I wanted to showcase the flowers on the main panel
and the butterfly on the smaller squares.

I didn't want to cover up the butterfly so I did
the sentiment under the box.

I love this simple but pretty card.
