Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #74

Today is a beautiful Tuesday here in South Western Ontario.
The sun is shining and its a gorgeous fall day.
I am hoping for this weather clear through till Halloween..
(Wishful thinking, I know but one can hope!!!)

The sketch for today is another fantastic one.
I have to say it again.. the cards just almost make themselves
with these sketches.

I used some gorgeous paper I had in my stash.
The ribbon is also from my stash.

This gorgeous butterfly is from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.
I love all the metals I get from Miriam.

I challenge you to link up your card for the challenge..

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas

I know this week has mostly been about Christmas but when
I saw the sketch from Cardabilities I knew exactly what I was going to do.
I used Spellbinders pointsettias.. Love these...
I also used MS branch punch (my favorite punch of all time)
I used Aleens Glitter Snow to add dimension. (from Pinque Peacock)

The gingham paper is older paper from CTMH but it also was one of
my favorites. I used alot of old favourites for this card today.

I am entering this card in the following challenges..

Christmas again???

Today again I am posting some Christmas cards I made for Pinque Peacock.
Jessica has some wonderful goodies in the store just for this theme.
You will find burlap buttons
(that go with any theme but the red ones are perfect for Christmas)
One of my favourite embossing folders
(at amazing prices)
and another of my favourite products which I didn't use but wish I had

Here is my first card.

(What a great burlap button!!!!)
The wonderful embossing at the bottom of the card
is from the Snowflake and Flourishes embossing folder.
The stamp is from CTMH.
On this card I used Dark Brown ink on the stamp then used
Fired Brick Red distress stamp on parts of the stamp.

My second card is from the same sketch (Mojo Monday #363)

I used the same embossing folder on the bottom but
just turned it around for a slightly different look.
On this card I used Brown Ink and the same distress stain
for the red.. I like the look it gives.
I have distresses all edges and the bottom
(where the embossing folder was used) for depth.
The sketch is from Mojo Monday #363
I did it slightly different in the two different cards.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Just a reminder.. come and join the Pinque Peacock Challenge

This month its all about Stamping and Journalling.

I have entered the challenge..

Butterfly Box

I got this photo box at Michaels the other day
and knew I wanted to make a special box for a friend.
This month we are partnered with Pan Pastels.

PanPastel Colors are professional artists’ quality soft pastel colors packed
in a unique pan format (cake-like).
The special qualities of PanPastel Colors mean that artists can blend
and apply dry color like fluid paint for the first time.

Here is the box upclose

month is Stamping and Journalling I knew what I was making for the hop.
I am catching up on my layouts.. Emily is now 21 so you can see how behind I am.
I used gorgeous Bo Bunny paper -Autumn Song Harvest
(I was sad to use it as it was my last piece)
Random cardstock from my stash.
I used my cricut (artiste) to cut out the letters
and the circles.
Burlap I got in a huge roll at Hobby Lobby (deal!!!)
The stamped piece is a CTMH stamp Backdrop Charmed Holidays
then layed so its the same size as the picture.
I stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Stains then added Distress Rock Candy Stickles.
I added a tag for the journalling but I am going to change that..
as usual I don't  like my handwriting or the way the tag worked out.
I added some twine and last but not least....
A burlap button from Pinque Peacock. (one of my favs!)
I also have this burlap button in red but it didn't match (DARN!!)
The sketch is from the Bo Bunny September Sketch Challenge..

Merry Christmas - Pinque Peacock

Today my post is another Christmas card.
I am posting for Pinque Peacock
We are going back to basics with stamping and journalling.
This is one of my favourite Christmas stamps.

The rusted mesh (Pinque Peacock) is behind the snowman image.
It looks really cool in person.
The snow all around the image and the sentiment and
on the snowman's hat is Aleen's Glitter snow  (Pinque Peacock)
I used some Spectrum Noir Markers (Pinque Peacock)
to colour the image a little plus Stickles.
I also used white Pearl Pen (Pinque Peacock) on the snowflakes.
The sentiment stamp is from my stash.

I added twine to the bottom.
The image is Cardabilities #106
I am entering this card in their challenge.

This Friday is our monthly blog hop..
come and join us for great projects and prizes too!!!

Time... Gate Fold with a Twist and Sin City Stamps

Today I am doing a card for Sin City Stamps.
This month our sponsor company is PanPastels.com
I have never used Pan Pastels before this but I find that
I will be using them alot in the future.  I love the bold
colours that they give and the many ways you can use them.
We got a few colours to use this month and I have used two of them

for today's card.

You can see the gate fold twist on the bottom picture.
The top part opens on the left and the bottom picture opens on the right.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #71 Christmas!

Today I made another Christmas card..
I couldn't resist.
When I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to use this image.
I love vintage images and this little girl is perfect.

I used AHSC #70

I used my Darice Snowflakes and Flourishes embossing folder.
It is from Pinque Peacock.
One of my new favourite embossing folders...
I added three pearl brads from my stash.
I layered white cardstock with Ponderosa Pine (CTMH) and Red.
I distressed all the edges with my distress tool..
I love the way the Ponderosa Pine has a white core so the
distressing stands out.
I think I want to make a set of Christmas card with this gal..
she is just precious.
The card is 5 x 6 1/2.

Thanks for dropping by ...
Link your card done with the sketch...
