Unscripted Sketches #174

Unscripted Sketches #174
Welcome to Sketch it Saturdays at Unscripted Sketches! If you are just finding Unscripted Sketches, every Saturday morning we post a sketch for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation!
My card is made from paper and acetate with furry dots on it..(both from Tara's July June Kit), the flowers are from Art Philosophy cartridge from Close To My Heart.  The stamp is also from CTMH. I embossed the underneath paper with one of my favorite embossing folders.(on the right hand side).. I also used a litte washi tape on the bottom of the middle strip for some dimension.

We are always so excited to see how many of you are inspired to make amazing creations to share with us! Thank you to everyone who submitted a project. We love seeing them and we look forward to seeing more great projects using this week’s sketch!

Creative Kuts - Celebrating Fall

Today at Creative Kuts I am again celebrating fall....
I love summer but I think fall is my very favorite time of the year... I love the colour of the leaves and pumpkins and Indian Summer.
Today my layout is about about Pumpkin Pickin...

My two page layout is from a magazine I found and it is a Becky Fleck stetch..
The base pages are CTMH. The polka dot paper is from my stash.
I used a MS border punch for the border...
I used a random stamp to make the journalling block.
The pumpkin stamp I got at Michaels in the 1.50 bin.
The green swirls are a cherry lane die... it is my favorite!
Now for the best part; I used Creative Kuts files for the corn, the wagon, the cat and pumpkin mat and for the bear... Aren't they just adorable! I have hand cut all these things so you don't have to have a cricut or silhoutte to cut them.  I inked everything and added some pen stitching along the polka dots. I also embossed the corn.

The bear, the wagon filled with pumpkins and the cat mat are all one file...It also had a cat that goes on the pumpkins in the wagon but I by accident cut half his head but I kinda like the pumpkins without the cat and then the cat on the mat. I printed the corn out twice just because I liked the way it looked. To buy this file go to
The Harvesting Memories title is part of a very cute file Harvesting Memories Girl Bear that is $6. http://www.creativekuts.com/Harvesting-Memories-Girl-Bear-HGB88.htm You have to check it out... it is absolutely adorable. I used it at the beginning of the month for my last project...
Hope you all have a great day and come back and visit us at Creative Kuts often... Cheryl is constantly putting new files in the store.... You also might want to check us out on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/groups/381667938541774/..
Monday is BAP day, come check out the files you can get for free every Monday.

My project today is taken from a sketch I saw in a magazine...a sketch by Becky Fleck.
I used Kraft cardstock for the bases.  The pattern paper on the layouts was random paper I had (from Up The Street)older kits.
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border.. I love these big punch (look for another in my next Creative Kuts layout).
I used Sugar Maple (my favorite) Glimmer Mist to mist and spatter the pages then I used white Mr. Hueys to add some more misting.
I used my wood embossing folder for the big photo mat(just on the edges) and I used harvest friends embossing folder on the littel mats. I of course inked everything. Unity stamps (leaves) were also used... I used twine on the mats and some randon buttons (thanks Tara!)
The file I used from Creative Kuts is Things Seem ToHappen...I can see myself using this cutie for cards in the future! (I acutally have one in the process now)  You can find this file at http://www.creativekuts.com/Things-Seem-To-Happen-TSTH1031.htm

This was a tough one for me cause this is very simple.. I don't seem to know sometimes when to stop putting things on a card.....  I made mine a card for a male... can be birthday, just for you... whatever you want.....
I used paper from Tara's June kit and added twine and thickers from a previous kit. I love the window pane look...I also used a wood look embossing folder on the main card for depth...(I LOVE EMBOSSING FOLDERS)....

Unscripted Sketches 172 + piggyback

#172 + piggyback

Welcome to Sketch it Saturdays at Unscripted Sketches! If you are just finding Unscripted Sketches, every Saturday morning we post a sketch for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation!

The piggyback is to use brown, blue, pink and green.

I thought I was getting organized and started a book with all my Unscripted Sketches designs in it..
I have been working on all the sketches for about a week and had three done.. Actually I had four done but the first one was #172 and I forgot the colour challenge. All the other cards I got ready to take picutures of today as my daughter Emily had minor surgury on Thursday... Thursday night the cat and the dog were playing around and the cat knocked all the cards off the shelf and and dog chewed them except for the first one... So to make a long story short I am using my first card even though it doesn't have all the right colours.....so I used the sketch but not the colour challenge.
I did make another card today but I just didn't like it at all so here is my first card....

TOP 3 Announcement!
We are always so excited to see how many of you are inspired to make amazing creations to share with us! Thank you to everyone who submitted a project. We love seeing them and we look forward to seeing more great projects using this week’s sketch!

Stop by and check out these holidays as I am sure you are going to want to remember these holidays and include them in your card making projects!!!!!

This month I have done something a little different. This project is something I made in March. It is very simple but it is totally about relaxation. I was in a situation where I needed to be able to mentally go to another place and relax.. This little card was something I carried around in my pocket at work and at home..... It is very simple but this was an a big part of my recovery.

We will have blog candy to the lucky recipient that remarks on each site along the way!
Check out Lucy's blog for her project!

Thanks for stopping by and mark your calendar again next month to see what Holidays to Celebrate on September 8, 2012 for the next Calendar Girls Blog Hop!
