Her Craftiness and Susana's Scrappin Corner

Today I am guest designing for both of these talented ladies... Susana needed a fill in and I was already working on this layout of my Mom and my youngest daughter so I knew it would fit right in...
Lynne's asked me to work with red, blue, white and pink and a Mother's day theme..or a Memorial Day theme.. but since i live in Canada I thought Mother's Day...
For Lynne, I made 3 little note cards (one more is on the go but I ran out of that pretty blue paper) and a holder which I have decided which one to make as I made the shapes all different.. I thought this would be a great little gift for a Mom or anyone else for that matter....

And for Susana's spot I did a layout of a pic of my Mom and my youngest daughter at her Christening. This was 19 years ago so as you can see I am working doing my layouts all over the place. I found this pic and had just the right paper for it... All elements on this layout are from Tara's May Kit (there are a few left so check them out!!!) Up The Street has the kits and you just have to see how pretty they are.... Tara's kits come in two sides but both sides go together very nicely.
This layout was partially destroyed by my dog but lucky for her (and the cat that knocked it down) she only chewed the bottom right hand corner of the photo and the flowers and brad that were
there. I was very upset and she manages to wreck 4 other layouts.. 3 of which I totally had to redo.
I really love this pic of my Mom and Emily...

#160
SK 129 US 160.jpg

I found some paper (yes it's almost the same sunflower paper as the last few weeks) but I love it!!!!
The paper actually has a flower in the corner so I thought that would be great!

The top flower I covered with sead beads... It looks so cool ..
I had to add a butterfly because I am addicted to butterflies.
All the paper came from Up The Street...
Please join us at Unscripted Sketches and show us your version of this sketch..

Circle Card - Imagine Blog Hop Challenge

For the FESTIVE FRIDAY BLOG HOP scroll down one post.

A couple of weeks ago a few gals from facebook and I did an Imagine Blog Hop... All our projects were made using our Imagine. We had so much fun doing it we thought we would challenge each other to make some more cards or layouts or whatever with our Imagine.
SO I threw out a challenge out last week..... you had to use two carts (cricut or imagine) , had to have two flowers, one animal and you had to use stickles...
SOOO I used Lori's Garden to make the main design... layered it...inked it(of course)... then I used CTMH's Art Philosophy Cart to make the actual card. I love this feature on this cart. If you look back a couple of blog posts you will see I made two cards and layered them easily on my gypsy and the AP cart...(Took more time to decorate them then actually make two cards with 3 layers)

Anyway.. I then put white dots with a gel pen around the edges.. added stickles here and there and gems here and there and a card it is.... I just love the muted colours.. it would be a perfect hello friend card and thank you or get well...

Festive Friday May 25

Hi! Its time again for Festive Friday... If you came here from Maria's blog then you are in the right place.
If you just happened upon my blog and you want to start at the beginning you can go to Terri's blog.

Simple Stories 6x6 pad .. I just used papers from this pad.. I could use this paper all day for Christmas cards. I added a Tim Holtz pinecone and MS branch punch..(my fav punch)

this last pic is the inside of the card.
Thanks for joining us for Festive Friday.
Check out what Susan is doing on her blog for Festive Friday!

she's A Sassy Lady Challenge

Here are the two cards I made for this gypsy challenge.. I did as Sheila did  I made two cards instead of one just because..I used double sided paper so for the one card I just turned over the paper,  for the layer.. I layered.. This was really easy with my gyspy and my cricut E and CTMH's Art Philosophy cartridge.
Thanks Sheila for the great video with instructions.
On the get well soon card  I used my cricut to cut the sentiment and added a dollar store rose and some twine. For the Hi card (wooden hi) I used MS butterfly punches and added glossy accents to them. Very simple...

Paper Playtime and Love To Create Challenges

This card is because of Lucy Kelleher. I really enjoy her work and she has just become a DT member of Paper Playtime so I wanted to check it out. I found a challenge....
#75 Say It With Sentiments Friendship Card.....
and
another challenge I found on FB  Love to Create Challenge Blog
#16 Song Inspired.....

My card is a stamp I found in my drawer that I have been wanting to play with. (Acrylic) .
I matted it on some red paper found in my pieces drawer. Added some patterned paper again from some pieces and onto some CTMH paper also in my pieces drawer. Inked everything....
I coloured the girls in with copics and then added stickles to the umbrella and their boots(not sure if the pics show that) and put glossy accents in the puddle. The ribbon is some from my stash..
U R a True Friend is computer generated and I used a spellbinders die to cut it out..
The card is 6x6.
So the song that inspired the sentiment is Miley Cyrus's True Friend. (My daughter is 19 and when I hear this song I picture Miley and Lilly doing everything together(yes we watched family for years)on Hannah Montana...still sticking in my head...

#159 + piggyback   The piggyback this week is to use INK!

My card is made from the same sunflower paper as last week as I just love it!
I embossed the yellow kraft core paper with a new Tim Holtz embossing folder.
I of course INKED all the edges and I inked the raised part of the embossed piece.

Butterflies are Free Blog Hop - H2H Challenge

Have you ever watched a butterfly just casually meandering and fluttering by - it looks so peaceful, tranquil and free! They get to land where they want, smell all the flowers and just let the world pass them by. The colors of the butterfly are magnificent with seeming to be no two alike!!!!

Today, we are going to be fluttering with our butterflies and takin you on journies whether it be sniffing the flowers, watching the world pass us by or just showing off our magnicient colors!!! A nice lazy day, so, let get fluttering.....

If you stopped by to visit me today, I really appreciate it but would love for you to see all the butterflies in our hop. The butterfly journey starts with Lynne at Her Craftiness (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/). If you fluttered here by Inga's blog then you are on the right mark to sniff the flowers.

We have a wonderful sponsor today for our Butterflies Are Free - Susan Bermudez, Creative Memories representative.

Susan is so very happy to be able to sponsor Miss Lynne's Butterflies are Free Blog Hop. She is offering $10 worth of product from Creative Memories. You can pick what you like from her website: http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/susanbermudez. Good luck and Happy Scrappin'.

To be eligible, just leave a remark on each stop along the way and if you aren't already a follower, would love for you to follow also!!!

I have two projects for you today... the first is a layout I did about a month ago. I just love the paper and it called out to me to put glossy accents on everything. When I think about butterflies I think of my Mom and love so I knew I had to add butterflies to this layout. I haven't found the perfect picture to go with this layout so I chose to leave it without a pic. I added butterflies that are made with my MS butterfly punch.. The paper is Bo Bunny Alora and I got it from Up The Street my fav local scrapbook store!

AND my second project is a card that I made for the HEART 2 HEART challenge this week... I used all CTMH paper - the challenge was to use polka dots and stripes.. This paper from CTMH and was one of my fav's a few years back..I got a lot of it and its almost gone so I will be very sad. The flourish is a Cherry Lynn Die that my youngest DD got me for Mother's Day... I also have a MS Butterfly Punch around the page coming ..I am sad it is not here for this project...

Check out the H2H Challenge Blog!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my butterflies and thank you for not catching me and letting me fly around free. I would love for you to stop and visit Michele's blog to see what kind of butterfly enchantment that has been created for you to see next.
